Haven’t had much to say lately. My perfect job has taken a sudden downward spiral into crazy territory. I’ve not been handling it well. I just want to sleep all day.
I’m thinking about moving out of state. California is too expensive and I have realized that I will never be able to afford a house here, regardless of the fact that I have a decent down payment saved up. That’s the sad part. I can make the down, but I wouldn’t be able to afford the mortgage. So I am open to seeing what other possibilities are out there.
Speaking of the housing market - I met a real estate broker last fall who said the market was going to shift early this year. She said that people were stretched beyond financial limits to get into a house. So any sort of crisis - losing a job, a divorce, a large expense - would make it nearly impossible to keep up with the mortgage. A recent news story confirmed that is exactly what is happening! So I guess I’m glad I didn’t buy a house two years ago like I planned!
Still, I’ve got some thinking to do. I don’t even know how to start looking for a place to live. I’ve got some random states - some I’ve been to and other’s I haven’t - and I just search the internet for info. Any other ideas? Suggestions?
